What Educators Are Saying

The content was very relevant to being a person in life. It was a lot of things that students had maybe heard of, but didn’t understand and the videos, slides, and presenters did a great job of explaining in a way that didn’t feel too difficult or overwhelming. Loved the booklets, it was so nice for students to be able to take something home. They were pretty high quality, nicely branded, and in colour, which made it all feel very official and special.

Britta, Chief Dan George Middle School

The students, ranging from ages 11-14, were very engaged and eagerly participated in the activities and discussions. Our Facilitators, Tam and Raychel, were extremely knowledgeable and personable, giving the students real life perspectives and stories about why this learning is so important for everyone to know. The program, lessons and activities were great. They had access points for a variety of students to join in no matter what their level of understanding was at the beginning of the session. I highly recommend JA’s Dollar and Sense program to teachers and will be getting them to come back to my classroom.

Keifer, Glenrosa Middle School

What Students Are Saying

I am truly grateful for this [Economics for Success program] opportunity. Throughout this experience, I gained valuable knowledge while genuinely enjoying every moment. The lessons I learned are ones I will carry with me throughout my future career and personal life. I have already shared many of these insights with others, and they were impressed by how much I gained from this experience.

Student, Spectrum Community School

Thank you so much for your lecture. I think it is going to help me out in the future. The games were really fun, especially the bingo. I learned a lot from it and I remember a lot of things from it. Thank you a lot for teaching me!

Student

I now have a way better understanding of money, how to spend it well, how to use a credit card, how to balance your income with spending money, and so much more. I am very grateful for the lesson!

Student

Thank you guys for really teaching us about real life things that we will need in real life scenarios 🙂

Student

Not only were we able to learn about money and how to be responsible with it, but we were able to have fun at the same time. I’m so happy you came so we were able to learn about the different forms of money.
