We’re currently recruiting passionate and proactive leaders to join the JABC Alumni Community Association for the 2026–2027 term. These volunteer roles offer a unique opportunity to shape and grow a vibrant alumni network that supports mentorship, professional development, and community impact across British Columbia.

President

1-year term (2026–2027)

The President leads and represents the Alumni Community Association, working with the JABC team to guide strategy, grow the network, and strengthen alumni engagement across B.C.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and representing the Alumni Community Association
  • Acting as the primary liaison between alumni and JABC
  • Organizing and leading meetings, events, and initiatives
  • Supporting the development of strategic priorities
  • Representing the alumni network at events and speaking opportunities
  • Supporting growth and engagement across the alumni community

Ideal candidate:

  • JA alum, 18+
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience working with teams, committees, or community organizations
  • Passionate about entrepreneurship, community, and JA’s mission

Vice President

1-year term (2026–2027)

The Vice President supports the President and steps into leadership when needed, while helping ensure smooth operations and strong communication across the association.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the President and stepping into leadership when required
  • Assisting members with responsibilities and initiatives
  • Managing correspondence and taking meeting minutes
  • Serving as an ambassador for JABC and its alumni
  • Attending and supporting events and initiatives

Ideal candidate:

  • JA alum, 18+
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively
  • Passionate about community and JA’s mission

Commitment

Approximately 5 hours per month (evenings and weekends)

Attend ~75% of monthly virtual meetings
