On September 30, JABC will recognize the inaugural National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This new federal statutory holiday was created by the Government of Canada as a commitment to reconciliation and a pledge that the heartbreaking history and enduring legacy of residential schools is never forgotten.
Working with Indigenous youth and their communities is a priority for JABC. To observe this significant day in Canada’s history, JABC’s offices will be closed for staff to honour the survivors of the residential school system, and for reflection and education.
