November 12, 2020- In celebration of Financial Literacy Month this November, Prospera Credit Union has renewed their support of JA’s popular Economics for Success program, with funding to provide access to the program for students in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Okanagan regions.
JA’s Economics for Success program prepares students to enter the world of work by helping them map career clusters, consider post-secondary options, develop strategies to achieve goals and create a personal budget to support their plans. The program is offered across B.C., in 55 of 60 school districts, free of charge to students and educators thanks to the generous support of donors like Prospera.
Prospera has been an important supporter of JABC’s work since 2010. This collaboration is based on the common goal of delivering youth programs that help build stronger communities, offer positive life experiences, enhance self-esteem and financial literacy, and promote staying in school.
“We are very grateful for Prospera’s continued support of our Economics for Success program,” said Sheila Biggers, President and CEO of JABC. “With their renewed commitment, even more B.C. youth will have the opportunity to build important financial literacy skills that will benefit them for their lifetime.”
