Pictured above is longtime volunteer Mike Reilly who facilitated JA Personal Finance to Grade 11 Accounting students at Belmont Secondary in Langford, B.C. This was the very first Personal Finance program delivered on Vancouver Island. Andrew Johnson, the host teacher at Belmont Secondary School, said, “I think the program is beneficial to students’ financial literacy. It helps to prepare them for the economics of both the expected and unexpected events of life.”
Below is volunteer Kristal Grenkie with our JABC Indigenous Programs Manager Joy William, who delivered her first ever JA Dollars with Sense program to students. “I learned better ways [to] save money and think about what I need and don’t need,” said a grade 7 student at iCount School in Witset, B.C.
