March 26, 2026 — Vancouver, BC — JA British Columbia (JABC) today announced that President and CEO Wendi Campbell will retire this summer. The Board has appointed Delreen Motiwalla as the next President and CEO, effective July 6, 2026.
Over her tenure, Wendi Campbell strengthened JABC’s foundation and reach, developing a high-performing team, enhancing brand credibility, advancing governance, and expanding the organization’s impact across the province. Under her leadership, JABC is on track to deliver more than 90,000 hands-on learning experiences this school year.
Delreen has been with JA British Columbia since 2018, most recently serving as Vice President, Development, where she has built strong partnerships and supported the organization’s growth across the province. In her new role as President and CEO, she will guide JABC with energy and vision, continuing to strengthen programs, partnerships, and opportunities for youth.
She brings more than 26 years of leadership experience across India and Canada, including senior leadership roles at one of India’s leading integrated marketing communications conglomerates. Since moving to Canada, she has continued her work across the arts, education, and nonprofit sectors. Her contributions have been recognized nationally and regionally, including the King Charles III Coronation Medal and the DARPAN Extraordinary Achievement Award in Corporate Leadership in 2025.
Leadership Reflections
“Leading JA British Columbia has been one of the great privileges of my career,” said Wendi Campbell. “I am proud of what we have accomplished together and confident in Delreen’s leadership as JABC continues to expand its impact.”
“I am honoured to step into the role of President and CEO at JA British Columbia,” said Delreen Motiwalla. “The impact of JA’s programs in preparing young people for the future is more important than ever. By building economic confidence early, we equip youth with the skills, agency, and resilience to thrive. I look forward to working alongside our exceptional team, Board, and community of supporters and partners to deepen our impact and expand opportunities for youth across British Columbia.”
Looking Ahead
As JABC enters this next chapter, the organization remains focused on reaching more students with hands-on experiences that equip them with the skills and confidence to navigate an increasingly complex world.
