Vancouver, BC – October 15, 2024 – JA British Columbia (JABC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Wendi Campbell as its new President and CEO. With over 30 years of leadership experience, Wendi brings a wealth of expertise in strategy, market development, and organizational growth. She joins JABC from her role as Managing Director, Clients & Markets Strategy at KPMG Canada, where she led strategic market initiatives and operational planning.

Throughout her career, Wendi has held various leadership positions across Strategy and Markets initiatives, Human Resources, Marketing, Audit and Tax. She is widely recognized for her ability to transform strategic goals into actionable results that drive organizational success. Her leadership style is characterized by strong relationship-building skills, connecting people and ideas to create impactful change.

A passionate advocate for youth education and empowerment, Wendi has built a meaningful connection with JABC by supporting various events and volunteering her time. Her dedication aligns with JABC’s mission to equip young people with the skills needed to shape their financial futures, pursue meaningful careers, and develop entrepreneurial ventures. Wendi has previously volunteered in high school classrooms, teaching students the foundations of personal financial planning, and she actively supports educational initiatives, including her involvement with Science World.

“I’m truly excited and honored to lead JABC as we continue to provide life-changing education to young people across the province,” says Wendi. “I’ve admired JABC’s incredible work for years, and I’m deeply passionate about empowering youth. I look forward to advancing our mission and making a lasting impact on the lives of the young people we serve.”

Wendi’s community involvement includes serving on the boards of Science World, where she chaired the Strategic Revenue Committee, the BC/Yukon Region of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and the Vancouver International Marathon Society. She has also built national strategies, including a key accounts program and the establishment of KPMG’s Board Leadership Centre in Canada.

Wendi holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). In her spare time, she enjoys combining her love of running and biking with adventure travel, especially when joined by family and friends. 

Wendi officially begins her role as President and CEO of JA British Columbia on October 15, 2024. The JABC team looks forward to her leadership and is excited about the future under her guidance.
