With the support and guidance of volunteer mentors from the local business community, JABC is pleased to announce a Student Business Pitch Competition for youth in Williams Lake. The top business idea will receive $250 generously donated by the BMO Williams Lake Branch.
This Be Entrepreneurial Program is a hands-on opportunity for students to brainstorm, develop and pitch their unique business plan. Over the course of 6 weeks, students will become the CEOs pitching their business plans to potential investors.
Students will work with volunteer mentors Christina Roderus (Raymond James) and Rhonda Hordiuk (BMO) every Tuesday in April at Raymond James (180 3rd Avenue N) from 4-5 pm. This after-school program is open to students in grades 10 – 12. Limited space is available, and no prior experience is necessary.
At the end of the program, students will pitch their business idea to a panel of judges.
